As of April 2026 they are under investigation for privacy concerns regarding a recent MalwareBytes and Techcrunch deep-dive. They also have some "fun" offers, quests, and sweepstakes to incentivize people to grind more and gamble their earnings. Functional, but kinda sketchy around the edges. The Stake partnership is rough, and there's misleading marketing - no they will not pay you to passively watch videos. I can average about $5/hr in the USA, but I'm well aware that allllll that data is probably being sold and not private. If you care about data privacy, I would look into the higher rated GPT/Survey sites I have listed on this site. Even after the April 2026 investigation, earnings are still functional and possible, albeit low and with a sketchy data privacy perspective. Bumped from 4 stars in late 2025 down to 3 in early 2026, down to 1 after the April situation. We'll see if they can reverse course, in time.
